Honda Jazz was launched in India on June 10th this year.
But till now, I have seen just 1 Honda Jazz car on road in Chennai. I don’t think Honda Jazz got a big welcome here in India (definitely not in Chennai). Though Honda confidently fixed the price at around 7.5 lac for this super-cool hatch-back car, I don’t think Indian minds are that generous to spend that much money on a hatch-back car.
Already there are so many small cars in the market from Hyundai and Maruthi, which people can buy from 3-4 lac. And when people are ready to invest more than 6 lac on a car, definitely they would want to go for a sedan. May be Jazz is reserved for the extremely rich people who want to buy a small car for Honda’s sake – something like a second car for maintaining status!
Anyways.. It is indeed a dull start for Honda Jazz here. I now doubt if it will improve later as well.
