I have always found it amazing that we humans have evolved with better cognition abilities than animals. For example, right from the origin of Earth ( I mean, time immemorial ) all the other animals have been using the same means of communication: A dog has been barking like this only for a long time. But humans have developed high level of communication skills – specialized languages, etc., all through these ages.
But it never occurred to me that we humans are very slow in developing in our motor skills after birth. It takes months for a small baby to get up and walk on his own. Whereas Dolphins are born swimming, cattle can walk within hours and lions are able to run within 20 days of birth.
